I made this piece to further explore different techniques for creating outlines on 2D characters in Unity. Michael o'Kane, (@flaxenflash) helped out by writing a really cool custom shader. I think it works really well and is pretty versatile but it does have a pretty awkward setup in order to get it working correctly.
Animated in Spine 2D. Composited in Unity.
